Meet June, an affectionate, sweet, and social Collie who is looking for her forever home! A true velcro dog, June loves being close to her humans. She is a friendly, playful, and obedient companion with a moderate energy level. She is welcoming to strangers and gets along great with other dogs.

June does well with friendly canine companions, but she would also be happy as an only dog. She is generally a quiet girl, only vocalizing with playful barks when engaged in a fun game with another dog. You will often find her sleeping right on the bed next to you or comfortably on the floor beside it. She handles grooming sessions very well. June has never been crated in her foster home and can be trusted alone for extended periods, though counter-surfing is a temptation if tasty treats are left within reach. She navigates stairs without any issues and has shown no attempts to jump fences.

June is eager to please and listens well, making her a pleasure to take on outings. She has good recall without distractions, though all bets are off if she sees a squirrel or a bunny! She is still working on mastering "off" or "down" when she gets excited and jumps up to greet you, but she steps down promptly when reminded. June walks nicely on a leash, though she has a typical Collie interest in small animals, occasionally chasing them in the yard or keeping a sharp eye on them during walks. She also loves car rides and enjoys watching the world go by out the window.

June can be a bit of a picky eater, but she is steadily learning to enjoy her kibble. With a little patience and consistency, she continues to make great progress with her meals.

June would flourish with a family that is home more often than not to satisfy her loving, velcro nature. Her ideal adopters should enjoy daily walks and be ready to shower her with affection.
